Kelsee Chang, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Kelsee Chang, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She began her career in healthcare in 2015 as an Emergency and Trauma Nurse Resident shortly after graduating from Texas Christian University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. While working to serve her hometown community of Dallas, TX, as an emergency and trauma nurse, she pursued her doctoral degree to become a family nurse practitioner. Graduating with top marks in her class from Texas Christian University in May 2021, Kelsee received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice as a family nurse practitioner. She developed her interest in pain management early in her career by treating many patients with chronic pain in the emergency department. These patient experiences drove Kelsee to a dedicated rotation in interventional pain management while obtaining her doctoral degree. Her goal is to be a part of the solution for her patient’s chronic pain and keep her patients comfortable and out of the hospital. Kelsee began her DNP career as a nurse practitioner here at IPCC in 2021. She took some time away from pain management while her now husband was finishing his internal medicine residency and starting his career as a physician here in Las Vegas.

From the beginning of her career, Kelsee has had a passion for providing excellent patient care with a servant’s heart. While in Texas, Kelsee regularly sought out opportunities to volunteer in local hospitals and underserved clinics. She has served as a leader both in and out of the hospital by teaching new nurses and being selected as a member and leader of multiple hospital committees. She also participates in numerous state and national professional organizations. Kelsee’s research was also selected to be displayed nationally at the 2021 American Association of Nurse Practitioners National Conference.

During her time away from IPCC, Kelsee and her husband welcomed the newest addition to their family, a beautiful baby boy. Kelsee enjoys cooking, baking, outdoor exploring, spin class, weight training, and nature walking with her son, husband, and two goofy dogs in her free time.
